RC Newsletter - September 2018
Fall is fast upon us, the snow will be here before we know it. U.S. Ski & Snowboard staff has
been very busy preparing for the upcoming winter. We are excited for the season. Fall is the
time of year many of the Division, Regions and National Teams finalize a good conditioning
block and athletes are tested to make sure goals were met from all the hard work that happened
over the summer. Please see below to see the date, time and location of upcoming conditioning
assessments in your area.
U.S. Ski & Snowboard Sport Education is coming to the Milwaukee area with a one day Club
Excellence conference on November 2nd. There will be sessions for both parents, coaches and
club leadership. Look for more information to come out very shortly. Please contact me if you
have any questions. I look forward to seeing you at this event.
FIS Intent and confirmation deadlines have changed for the upcoming season. Intents for FIS
races are closed 16 days before the first team captain’s meeting with a confirmation deadline of
14 days before the first team captain’s meeting.
Many athletes are purchasing equipment for the season. While there have been no changes to

find the equipment chart here .
